Getting Real About Fasting...
There is so much controversy when it comes to fasting...
So many folks are worried they'll starve to death because they have been indoctrinated since they were born with the idea that you need three square meals a day to survive and be strong.
Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the truth.
It's another profit driven notion that I have been fighting against my whole life.
I want you to think about the word 'fast'. To fasten means to strengthen, and that's exactly what fasting does, it makes you stronger.
Now I want you to imagine a sick or injured animal... What's the first thing they do? They stop eating.
The reason that animals stop eating when they are sick or have experienced physical trauma is because they innately know that their body can use the energy that would have been spent of digestion to help heal their body.
What happens when you stop eating
Your body is a true miracle, and it has the knowledge and power to heal itself of any dis-ease. I truly believe that.
Off-the-grid cultures that practised fasting have been PROVEN to be disease-free, long-lived and happy. They had no doctors; they had no hospitals; they had no miracle supplements in a capsule form. They were just in touch with the sacred wisdom of fasting.
While fasting, the body feeds itself on the most impure and inferior materials and all morbid accumulations of tumours, abscesses, fat deposits and damaged tissue.
All of these accumulations cause illness and even death.
The body is cleansing itself and other tissues at a cellular level and is dissipating large pockets of clustered proteins and filth and toxic waste into the bloodstream.
That's why it is so important to help your body along when you're fasting to make sure that excretory organs are doing their job. You can try daily enemas, deep exhaling through exercise or routine and cleansing the skin.
My approach to fasting
If you have ever been to one of my events, you'll know I regularly fast. Annually i'll usually do 40 days on water, and each time is such an amazing experience.
In saying that, I've been fasting for many, many years.. It's not this Cow Boy's first rodeo.
- Just starting out
- Have only done a short fast
- Are in an unsupported environment (not in a supervised fast)
Then I would absolutely not advise that you jump into a water fast or any kind of extended fast.
