Everywhere I look these days, I see people glued to their smartwatches, tracking steps, heart rate, sleep cycles, and calories. We’ve become obsessed with data, constantly checking in on our stats. And don’t get me wrong, wearables can be helpful tools. But it’s got me thinking: Are we outsourcing our health awareness to technology and ignoring the signals our bodies have been giving us for centuries?

I’ve spent years teaching people how to tune into their own biology using the Tolman Method, which incorporates ancient practices like face mapping, iridology, sclerology, and tongue diagnosis. These systems are powerful diagnostic tools that can detect imbalances years before a smartwatch ever could. Your body is constantly speaking to you. The question is, are you listening? And do you know how to read the signs?

Face Mapping and How Your Skin Reflects Internal Health

One of the most overlooked indicators of health is the face. The appearance of someone’s skin is often focused on from a beauty perspective, but it’s also a window into your internal health. The ancient method of face mapping, rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurveda, teaches us that every part of the face corresponds to an internal organ.

If you’re experiencing frequent breakouts, dryness, or puffiness, this is a sign that your body is trying to get your attention. Your forehead is connected to digestion and the small intestine, while the area between your brows is linked to liver health. Dark circles under the eyes? Your kidneys might need some extra support. Acne along the jawline is often tied to hormonal imbalances.

Body Wisdom | Read the Signs Before Your Smartwatch Does

Rather than covering up blemishes with skincare products, I teach people to look deeper. What is your face really trying to tell you? Addressing these imbalances through proper nutrition, detoxification, and hydration can lead to lasting health improvements. I do all this without the need for an expensive face serum or wearable tech.

Iridology and Sclerology: How Your Eyes Reveal Hidden Imbalances

The eyes are more than just the “windows to the soul”, they hold deep insights into your body’s health. Iridology is the study of the iris, where different patterns, colors, and fibers reveal strengths and weaknesses in the body. Meanwhile, sclerology examines the whites of the eyes (sclera), detecting inflammation, toxicity, and organ stress.

I’ve seen time and again how these methods predict health issues long before they show up in conventional tests. A brown discoloration in the iris? That might signal liver stress. Bloodshot sclera? Your body could be overloaded with toxins. If your eyes are consistently yellowish, this may be an early warning sign of liver dysfunction.

People often tell me, “Tyler, my smartwatch doesn’t tell me any of this!” And that’s exactly my point. Your body has its own built-in health tech. It just takes learning how to read it.

Tongue Diagnosis: What the Color, Texture, and Coating of Your Tongue Say About Your Health

If you’ve ever woken up and noticed a white coating on your tongue, cracks, or a bright red tip, your body is trying to communicate with you. In the Tolman Method, I emphasize the importance of tongue diagnosis, a practice used for centuries in Ayurveda and TCM to assess internal health.

A thick white coating often signals excessive mucus and digestive stagnation, while a cracked tongue might indicate malabsorption of nutrients. If your tongue is pale, you may be dealing with poor circulation or anemia. A deep red tip? That’s often a sign of high stress and excessive heat in the body.

Instead of waiting for a wearable device to notify you of an imbalance, take a look in the mirror every morning and check your tongue. It’s one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to stay ahead of your health.

Body Wisdom | Read the Signs Before Your Smartwatch Does

Nail Health and How Fingernails Indicate Nutrient Deficiencies

Your fingernails are another key diagnostic tool that reveal internal imbalances. Many people don’t realize that the shape, texture, and color of their nails are direct reflections of their nutrient status and organ function.

Brittle nails? You could be low in silica or calcium. White spots? That’s often a sign of zinc deficiency. Spoon-shaped nails might indicate iron deficiency, while dark streaks could be linked to adrenal exhaustion or circulatory issues.

Rather than taking a generic supplement and hoping for the best, I teach people to read their nails as a real-time reflection of what’s happening inside and adjust their diet accordingly.

Are Smartwatches Making Us Less Intuitive About Our Health?

There’s no doubt that wearables provide useful data, but can they create a false sense of security? We start to rely on numbers rather than intuition, waiting for an app to tell us how we feel instead of listening to our own body’s signals.

Your smartwatch might measure your heart rate, but it won’t tell you why your heart is under stress. It might track your sleep patterns, but it won’t explain why you’re waking up exhausted every morning. These are things you need to uncover by understanding your body, not just looking at a screen.

The real issue? Tech wearables track symptoms, whereas The Tolman Method that I teach and share helps you find the root cause.

How to Start Listening to Your Body Instead of Relying on Technology

If you feel disconnected from your body, it’s time to relearn its language. You can start here!

Most people look at Egyptian hieroglyphs and see a bunch of cool-looking symbols carved into ancient stone. But what if I told you they were something much, much more? What if these symbols weren’t simply a form of writing, but an ancient technology? A sophisticated system of energy, vibration, and consciousness activation?

For years, I’ve been leading people through Egypt on my Djedi Mystery School Training, sharing the lost wisdom of the ancients—those who understood energy, healing, and manifestation on a level we’re only beginning to rediscover.

The deeper I go into their teachings, the more I realize something profound:

Language isn’t only for communication—it’s a tool for transformation.

What Is MedU Neter? The Sacred Language of the Gods

The ancient Egyptians didn’t see language as a basic tool for communication. They saw it as a divine force, a way to tap into universal energies and shape reality. Their hieroglyphic system, known as MedU Neter, literally translates to “Words of the Gods.”

This was far more than language as we know it today. MedU Neter was multidimensional, designed to express the laws of nature, the cosmos, and human consciousness. Unlike modern languages that rely purely on phonetics, MedU Neter worked on three levels at once:

  • Sound (Phonetics): Spoken words carried vibrational energy, activating specific frequencies within the body and the environment.
  • Symbolism (Imagery): Each hieroglyph was a pictorial representation of natural and spiritual forces, not an arbitrary letter.
  • Energy (Resonance): The placement and combination of symbols created an energetic imprint, capable of altering consciousness and shifting reality.

This is why the Egyptians carved hieroglyphs into temple walls, chanted them in ceremonies, and inscribed them onto objects for protection and power. They understood that written and spoken words weren’t passive symbols; they were living forces.

Who Inscribed the Hieroglyphs?

The Sesh were the scribes of ancient Egypt—highly trained initiates who could read, write, and interpret MedU Neter. But they weren’t merely record keepers. The Sesh carried deep wisdom, understanding that hieroglyphs held more than knowledge—they were encoded with energy, healing properties, and divine law.

While the Sesh focused on preserving and activating sacred texts, the Djedi took this knowledge into applied mastery. The Djedi were energy warriors, trained not only in sacred language and knowledge, but in the practical use of mind, intention, and vibrational forces.

The Djedi were masters of consciousness. They understood how to use sound, symbols, and focused intention to influence energy fields, heal, and shift reality itself. They worked with hieroglyphic formulas, vibrational frequencies, and ancient healing techniques, using language as a real-world tool for manifestation and energetic transformation.

Both the Sesh and the Djedi worked with MedU Neter, but while the Sesh preserved and documented wisdom, the Djedi trained to wield it.

This is why, in my Djedi Mystery School Training, we go beyond studying ancient texts. We activate the wisdom within them, applying these principles to modern healing, manifestation, and energetic mastery.

How Did the Ancient Egyptians Use Hieroglyphs to Heal, Manifest, and Transform Reality?

The ancient Egyptians weren’t simply writing symbols. They were working with a sacred system of energy, frequency, and intention. MedU Neter wasn’t about forming sentences—it was about aligning with cosmic principles and activating the power behind words.

Each hieroglyph was a vibrational code, a direct connection to natural forces. When used correctly, it could alter perception, shift consciousness, and even affect physical reality. This is why hieroglyphs weren’t just recorded—they were spoken in ceremonies, carved into sacred sites, and integrated into healing practices.

MedU Sunu: The Healing Science of Words

If MedU Neter was the language of the gods, then MedU Sunu was the language of healers and physicians. The term MedU Sunu translates to “Words of the Physician”, referring to the use of sacred language and symbols in Egyptian medicine.

While modern medicine focuses primarily on the physical body, the Egyptians understood that true healing happens at the energetic level first. MedU Sunu was based on the principle that words, vibrations, and intention could directly influence a person’s health and well-being.

Egyptian healers used MedU Sunu in multiple ways:

  • Sacred inscriptions were written on papyrus, dissolved in water, and consumed as a vibrational remedy.
  • Healing prayers and incantations were spoken over the sick to align their energy with the frequency of health.
  • Amulets and talismans inscribed with hieroglyphs were worn to maintain energetic protection and vitality.

This approach mirrors what we now understand in modern sound therapy, vibrational medicine, and even the placebo effect—that words and frequencies have a direct influence on biology and healing.

Ancient Egyptian Manifestation Practices: How Language Shapes Reality

Ever heard the phrase “Your words create your reality”? The Egyptians didn’t just believe this—they engineered it.

MedU Neter wasn’t simply a means of communication. It was a conscious creation system, where words and symbols programmed the mind and directed energy toward desired outcomes. Whether used for healing, protection, or manifestation, these symbols carried a power that worked beyond just meaning—they worked through resonance and energetic imprinting.

Modern research now confirms what the ancients already knew—words influence brain chemistry, alter our perception, and even affect the body’s ability to heal. Every thought, every spoken phrase, every written word sends out a frequency that shapes emotions, actions, and reality itself.

The Egyptians were masters of intentional speech, using language to align with universal forces, amplify personal power, and manifest with precision.

Ready to Unlock the Ancient Code?

The Egyptians left us a roadmap—one that begins with words and symbols. The only question is: Are you ready to activate it?

This is exactly what we explore in my Djedi Mystery School Training, where I teach the lost wisdom of the ancients, guiding modern seekers to master their energy, awaken their highest potential, and reclaim their power.

Throughout history, certain places have called to those who seek more than the ordinary and who have a hunger for transformation, insight, and a deeper connection to the unseen world. When we enter these spaces with awareness and preparation, they become tools for awakening, stripping away illusion and revealing the deeper layers of reality.

One of the most profound examples, especially in my own experience, is the Great Pyramid of Egypt. A structure that embodies the principles of sacred geometry, electromagnetic energy, and spiritual initiation. Its design was never about death as were often taught about the pyramids in school. The Great Pyramid was, and still is, a gateway to higher consciousness for those prepared to step through.

Why Did the Ancient Egyptians Build Sacred Spaces for Spiritual Initiation?

The ancient Egyptians built temples and pyramids to help them master life. They understood that certain spaces hold energetic frequencies that can alter consciousness, expand awareness, and facilitate direct experiences of the divine. Their temples were designed with precision, aligning with the Earth’s energy grids and astronomical cycles to amplify this effect.

The Great Pyramid of Egypt stands as the ultimate example, built with such precision that modern technology struggles to replicate it. Its architecture embodies sacred geometry, harnessing and amplifying energy through the precise alignment of stones, passages, and chambers.

Ancient texts describe initiation rituals within the pyramid’s King’s Chamber—practices meant to dissolve the illusions of the physical world and reveal the true nature of consciousness. Initiates would undergo a period of fasting, meditation, and purification to align their energy with the frequencies of the pyramid. Once inside, they experienced profound shifts—visions, higher states of awareness, and a sense of unity with the cosmos. I’ve experienced this myself, and it’s kind of hard to really put it into words.

The design of the Great Pyramid, with its black granite sarcophagus and electromagnetic properties, acts like a tuning fork, amplifying the human energy field and stripping away the veils between dimensions. Those who enter prepared—physically, mentally, and spiritually—can access levels of consciousness that are rarely touched in ordinary life.

This was the true purpose of sacred spaces in Egypt—to initiate seekers into higher knowledge and remind them that they are more than flesh and bone.

How Does Sacred Geometry Unlock Higher Consciousness?

The ancient Egyptians understood that geometry was the language of the universe. Sacred geometry represents the patterns through which energy flows, shaping everything from the growth of a plant to the orbits of planets. By aligning their temples and pyramids with these patterns, they created environments where energy could flow freely, amplifying the human energy field and opening pathways to higher awareness.

The Great Pyramid is a masterclass in sacred geometry. Its proportions mirror the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci sequence, creating an environment that resonates with the natural laws of the cosmos.

When we enter a space designed with sacred geometry, our energy field begins to entrain with these higher frequencies. The body’s cells respond to the harmonic patterns, the mind quiets, and the veil between the material and spiritual worlds becomes thinner. This is why certain temples, cathedrals, and even stone circles feel different—their architecture acts as a bridge between dimensions, allowing us to access insights, healing, and states of unity that lie beyond the ordinary mind.

How Can You Create Sacred Spaces to Awaken Higher Consciousness?

I highly recommend travelling to the Great Pyramid with me to experience just how powerful the energy is firsthand. But of course, at some level, the principles behind these sacred spaces can be applied anywhere. Creating a sacred space in your own environment means aligning energy with intention. It’s about transforming a room, a corner, or even a garden into a high-frequency environment that supports your growth and awareness.

Start with natural elements. Black granite, crystals, and plants help ground and amplify energy, creating a solid foundation. Use sacred scents like frankincense, myrrh, and essential oils known for their ability to elevate consciousness. Sound and breath are powerful tools—structured breathwork, like the “Seven Rounds of Seven” or the “Wim Hof” method, can shift brainwave states and open the pathways to deeper awareness.

The Most Important Element in Creating Sacred Spaces

Sacred spaces are not just about physical surroundings; they are about creating an energetic alignment that supports our personal evolution. Whether in the Great Pyramid or in your own home, the intention behind the space is what truly unlocks higher consciousness.

If you want to truly embody the technology and teachings of the Ancient Egyptian lineage to bring more harmony, alignment and prosperity into your life, then I invite you to check out my Djedi Mystery School Training. It’s here you’ll learn how to harness the power of everything in this article and so much more and make it an embodied reality rather than knowledge.

Throughout history, the greatest pursuit of humanity has been the quest to know oneself. In ancient Egypt, this path wasn’t just a philosophy as it often is today. To “know oneself” became a science for them, a structured journey of awakening, purification, and activation.

The Egyptians symbolized this journey through the Pyramid of Earth. This is a framework representing the stages required to evolve from ordinary awareness to higher consciousness. To ascend, one must first build their internal pyramid, aligning the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of existence. Only then can the Pyramid of Heaven descend—signifying the ultimate connection to divine wisdom.

This path was at the heart of Egyptian Mystery Schools and Djedi teachings. The phrase “Know Thyself” was a call to unlock the vast potential that lies dormant within. This is a journey that required great curiosity, commitment and determination. It sounds easy in theory, but to truly walk this path is something else.

The question is, are you ready to build your Pyramid of Earth?

What is the Pyramid of Earth and Its Role in Awakening?

The Pyramid of Earth represents the foundation of human evolution including the steps required to move from unconscious living to full awareness and self-mastery. In the Egyptian view, the physical body wasn’t a burden to escape; it was a temple to refine and activate. Mastering the body, mind, and spirit created a clear and powerful vessel for divine energy and higher wisdom. Without this foundation it was not possible to go higher.

This path wasn’t about blind faith; it was about direct experience and disciplined practice. The Great Pyramid of Giza, with its perfect proportions and alignment, was built to mirror this inner process. It served as both a symbol and a tool. It was a structure designed to activate higher states of consciousness through precise geometry, electromagnetic energy, and initiation rituals.

Building the Pyramid of Earth within is about aligning with these same principles. Each level represents a step toward greater self-awareness and energy mastery:

1. Awakening: The First Step to Mastery

Every journey begins with “awakening” or the realization that reality is far more expansive than what our senses perceive. In ancient Egypt, awakening was often catalysed by the presence of a master teacher, a profound experience, or even a crisis that shattered old perceptions.

This phase is about recognizing that the physical world is a reflection of energy, consciousness, and intention. The Djedi initiates underwent intense training to awaken from the illusions of ordinary perception. Breathwork, fasting, and meditation were used to quiet the mind, cleanse the body, and shift awareness from the external to the internal.

True awakening is not about rejecting the physical world—it’s about seeing through it to the energy that creates it. When you awaken, you step onto the path of conscious creation, aligning your actions with higher truths rather than reacting from habit.

2. Purification: Creating a Clear Vessel for Energy

Once you awaken, the next step is purification—clearing the physical, mental, and emotional toxins that block higher consciousness. The ancient Egyptians mastered this through fasting, herbal cleanses, and structured detoxification rituals.

Purification wasn’t just about the body; it was a full-spectrum process designed to clear the mind and energy field as well. Hieroglyphs and sacred symbols were used to rewire perception, shifting thought patterns from limitation to empowerment.

In the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid, initiates fasted and meditated to purify their energy fields before undergoing the final stages of initiation. This wasn’t about deprivation—it was about amplifying the life force by clearing out what doesn’t serve.

Purification is about creating a clear vessel for divine energy. Meaning a body and mind capable of holding and directing higher frequencies without distortion. When we detoxify, we amplify our ability to heal, manifest, and align with our true purpose.

3. Activation: Unlocking the Full Potential of the Body and Mind

Activation is the final step. This is where the Pyramid of Heaven descends to merge with the Pyramid of Earth, uniting human and divine consciousness. In Egypt, this was the role of sacred rituals, sound frequencies, and initiations designed to unlock the full potential of the body, mind, and spirit.

Ancient initiates worked with sacred geometry, breath practices, and hieroglyphic incantations to activate energy centres and access deeper wisdom. The sarcophagus in the King’s Chamber for example, wasn’t a coffin, but rather a tool for energy transference, designed to amplify consciousness and strip away the illusions of the lower mind.

In modern terms, activation is about tapping into the body’s latent abilities through breathwork, movement, and focused intention. Practices like the “Seven Rounds of Seven” and “Wim Hof Method” shift energy, raise vibration, and create coherence between the heart, mind, and spirit.

Activation is the process of turning knowledge into embodied wisdom—living from a place of truth, power, and alignment.

What Does “Know Thyself” Truly Mean in Ancient Egyptian Wisdom?

In the Egyptian mystery schools, self-knowledge was considered the highest form of power. To “know thyself” meant understanding the body, mind, and spirit as interconnected systems, each influencing the others. It wasn’t about intellectual knowledge—it was about direct experience and self-mastery.

The body was seen as a conduit for energy. Through fasting, breathwork, and physical disciplines, the Egyptians refined their energy fields, making the body a fit vehicle for higher consciousness. Mental clarity came from mastering hieroglyphic knowledge, sacred symbols, and intentional language—tools for rewiring perception and expanding awareness.

Spiritual activation required rituals, meditation, and a connection with nature’s cycles and cosmic forces. This was the purpose of the Egyptian temples—to serve as energetic amplifiers that could elevate consciousness and reveal higher truths.

When you know yourself, you shift from a reactive state to a state of conscious creation. You become the architect of your own reality, aligning with natural and cosmic laws to manifest with intention.

How to Build Your Own Pyramid of Earth Today

When the student is ready, the teacher appears. That is the first step in Awakening. If you would like to begin an embodied journey of this path, then you will be interested in checking out my Djedi Mystery School Training—where you’ll learn the ancient practices of detoxification, energy mastery, and self-mastery to unlock your full potential.

I’ve personally been walking this path since I was 13 and got into fasting and healing and helping others with their health. This journey then took me to study about Ancient Egypt and the Djedi with a great teacher who’s now passed.

It’s an honour and privilege that I’ve extensively studied and practiced this wisdom for so long and can now share it with others.

Throughout history, certain individuals have walked a path of mastery, dedicating their lives to healing, transformation, and the highest levels of conscious awareness. In ancient Egypt, they were known as the Djedi.

The Djedi lived as masters of energy, wisdom, and presence. They trained in the Egyptian temple traditions and mystery schools, carrying a profound understanding of how to work with vibration, intention, and natural forces to influence reality. Unlike typical priests or scholars, the Djedi cultivated multiple disciplines—they were healers, sages, and warriors of light, each path reinforcing the others.

You might think that these teachings have been lost through time, however their teachings live on. Preserved in sacred texts, carried forward by those who understood their value, and now re-emerging for those ready to reclaim this ancient wisdom. I’m really proud to continue the lineage sharing this knowledge today through my own Djedi trainings and experiences, but let’s get more into who the Djedi were.

Who Were the Djedi? Masters of Energy and Guardians of Secret Knowledge

The Djedi held the role of guardians of the mysteries, protectors of sacred knowledge who trained for years in self-mastery. True power requires alignment—with nature, with higher wisdom, and with the cosmic forces that shape reality. The Djedi understood this deeply.

Ancient texts describe the Djedi as initiates capable of manipulating energy fields, healing the sick, and influencing the elements. They embodied wisdom with precision, training relentlessly to command their mind, body, and energy with absolute control. Their mastery extended beyond Egypt, influencing figures like Pythagoras, Socrates, and Plato—philosophers and teachers who carried forward these principles into their own time.

Pythagoras, for example, spent over twenty years in Egypt, mastering sacred geometry, sound frequencies, and the mathematics of energy. His understanding of numbers as universal forces was a form of energetic mastery directly connected to the Djedi teachings.

Hippocrates, known as the father of modern medicine, embraced the Djedi principles of fasting, detoxification, and energy alignment. His famous saying, “Let food be thy medicine,” echoes the Djedi understanding that healing begins with aligning the body’s energy with natural frequencies.

Socrates, with his profound ability to awaken higher truths in others, embodied the Djedi principle that reality is shaped by consciousness. His dialogues served as tools to disrupt illusions and activate deeper awareness, leading students to discover their own power.

These figures understood that knowledge must be embodied and used with intention. Their legacy continues to influence spiritual seekers, philosophers, and healers even today.

How did the Djedi Master Healing, Teaching and Warrior Training?

The Djedi path was (and still is) a journey of embodiment and mastery. It began with fasting and healing to clear the body of toxins, release trauma, and align the energy field to hold higher frequencies. Disease, in their understanding, resulted from energetic imbalances and emotional blockages. To heal was to restore harmony, not simply to eliminate symptoms.

They practiced MedU Sunu (the words of the physician) to encode healing frequencies into herbs, water, and even written symbols. Hieroglyphs served as vibrational codes, resonating with the body’s natural energy field to trigger self-healing. The Djedi understood that every word, every symbol, every breath carried energy; and when aligned with intention, this energy could transform reality.

Once mastery of healing was achieved, the Djedi took on the role of teachers. Their goal was not to pass down information but to awaken others to their own potential. Teaching was an act of activation, designed to shift consciousness and open the pathways to deeper wisdom. They encoded their teachings into sacred symbols, hieroglyphs, and oral traditions, preserving the knowledge for those ready to receive it.

Warrior training was the final stage, focusing on physical mastery, energy control, and mental discipline. Djedi warriors commanded presence and moved with purpose, using breathwork, movement, and focused energy practices to maintain balance in any situation. Their power lay not in aggression but in absolute control over their own energy.

Their training methods can still be seen today in the practices of Samurai warriors, Shaolin monks, and even the Knights Templar—traditions that emphasize the balance of body, mind, and energy as the key to mastery.

How Can You Walk the Djedi Path Today?

The Djedi path remains a living tradition for those ready to commit to self-mastery, healing, and conscious leadership. Walking this path means embracing:

  • Self-Healing: Cleansing the body, clearing trauma, and aligning your energy to awaken higher consciousness.
  • Teaching with Purpose: Sharing knowledge to activate transformation in others, not just to inform.
  • Warrior Mastery: Training the body and mind to hold unshakable presence and balance, regardless of the chaos around you.
  • Living with Integrity: Aligning every action with higher values and serving the greater good.

This is exactly what we awaken in my Djedi Mystery School Training—where modern initiates reclaim ancient Egyptian mastery through detoxification, energy training, and the deep teachings of the Egyptian Djedi.

Are You Ready to Awaken the Djedi Within?

The ancient teachings are resurfacing, calling to those who are ready to embody them with power and purpose. This is a path for those who feel the call to reclaim their power and step into their true potential.

The knowledge is still here. The Djedi path is still alive.

I offer Djedji Mystery School Training including taking groups to Egypt.

What happens during a Tolman Emotional Clearing session? This is something, as coaches, we’re asked quite often so I wanted to take the opportunity to share it with you all and hopefully provide some understanding around this incredibly powerful and important healing modality.

What is a Tolman Emotional Clearing Session?

The Tolman Emotional Clearing technique (EC for short) is a powerful process to release past, suppressed emotions. When we experience an event (usually as a small child) that we’re unable to completely process (aren’t allowed or don’t know how to complete the cry, the scream, the fear etc), we have leftover emotions stored in the body at a cellular level. This, like any form of stress, makes our muscles tight and stressed and put pressure on our organs – leading to physical ailments over time if not addressed. It’s essentially excess cortisol running around the body keeping us on high alert all the time, resulting in the body not getting enough (or in some cases any!) time to return to the parasympathetic nervous system (aka rest and repair) – the ONLY place in which the body can heal.

Every physical ailment you have – whether it’s a rash, acne, sore shoulder, bad back, digestive issues – right through to serious dis-ease in the body like cancer, diabetes, heart issues, autoimmune etc – has a level of emotional stress, trauma, hurt, pain, baggage (whatever word you want to use) contributing to it. There is a whole world of research around this, but we’ll leave that for another day…

Healing needs both physical and emotional support. We won’t heal if we eat Macca’s and sit on the couch all day but we also won’t heal to our full potential if we don’t address and relieve some of the emotional stress our body is holding. In fact, in my personal experience, releasing some of the emotional baggage makes doing the physical easier – it’s not a push or HAVE to but starts to become an intrinsic drive. A WANT rather than a burden.

So, what happens during a session?

The number one thing we do is to ensure you feel safe. We cannot heal (physically or emotionally) if we don’t feel safe within our body and with the facilitator. This can take time and may need a different approach for different people. But it’s absolutely vital. If we’re not feeling safe, we’re in a state of fear – which is a state of stress. And we can’t relieve stress if we feel stressed! And know that not every facilitator is right for every client and that’s ok. Find who works for you and who you feel safe with.

The second thing to understand is that tackling our emotional hurts and pains is scary! It’s why most people choose to ignore it and just do all the “things” instead (eat the right foods, go for a walk, drink the water etc) and ignore the emotional work. So, in understanding that it can be scary, it’s important to also understand that your body isn’t going to throw your entire history of hurt and stress at you in one hit. Its number one priority is keeping you alive and throwing the whole truck at you at once might achieve the opposite!

So, it simply won’t.

Your body is intelligent enough to only ever give you what you can handle in that moment on that day. You may believe that it’s too much, or sometimes believe you’re not doing enough, but it will be exactly as it needs to be. That’s why feeling safe with the facilitator is so important – so you can be reassured that everything is ok and you’re safe.

Once you’re relaxed and are feeling safe, we take you through a process (not hypnosis – you’re conscious the entire time, but you will go deep within) that allows the body to bring forth the stress / hurt / pain / trauma that needs to be addressed on that day, in that moment. In the same way that we don’t get to choose which physical ailment is healed first (we may want to resolve our rash but the body decides to heal the kidney as a priority for example), we don’t always get to choose which emotional hurt needs healing first. We may assume we need to heal from XYZ event, but in fact, a totally different one comes to the forefront. Often, ironically, the events are related – or the feelings and hurts associated within them are anyway.

We then take you through a process of releasing all the stuck stress, hurt, pain, anger, frustration, sadness or whatever it is from that event. And once it’s released, it’s gone forever.

It’s also important to understand that there’s no end goal when it comes to this work. It’s not like we reach a point of “I’m done – no more emotional work for me required!” We aren’t going to heal everything in one session, but it is where we need to start. There are always new layers and more depths to go through. And the deeper we go, the deeper our connection with ourselves becomes, the deeper our solidity in the KNOWING that we’re ok. The deeper our connections with our loved ones and the world around us becomes. The more we’re able to stay balanced through life without turning into the crazy wild woman who flies off the handle at the tiniest little thing (speaking from experience!! 🤣)

And, ultimately, our goal as EC Coaches, is to teach you how to truly FEEL. To support you in coming back into alignment within, to find true self-love and to feel your heart. To find true compassion for yourself rather than judgement. We can only heal from a place of love, never from a place of fear.

Healing isn’t about feeling better, it’s about getting better at feeling (a beautiful quote from the brilliant Gabor Maté). Life is always going to throw us stressors and curve balls – it’s not about removing all of those and living a flatline life. It’s about having the ability to respond to those moments rather than to react. To be able to put in appropriate boundaries from a place of love and understanding. And the less past hurts and pains we carry around, the easier dealing with day-to-day stressors becomes.

I hope this helps explain the process we as EC Tolman Coaches use to support you in your healing journey.

Love and healing always,

Ever feel like there’s just not enough time in the day to make the most of it? Well, it turns out that certain things or activities could be slowing you down and affecting your overall well-being. Let’s take a closer look at six factors that can have a long-term impact on your health.

1. Are you too comfortable?

Strange as it may sound, not having any discomfort in life could be holding you back! When we’re too comfortable in our health conditions, we lack the motivation to make necessary changes. It’s only when the pain becomes unbearable – whether physical, emotional, or mental – that we’re driven to act. So, ask yourself: What are you tolerating? What needs to change? Then, don’t wait until your health is at risk, demand change now.

2. Screen Time Overload

Screens are everywhere – phones, computers, TVs – and they can disconnect us from nature and disrupt our well-being. Dopamine, the feel-good chemical, shouldn’t come solely from screens. Go outside and see healthier sources of dopamine like sunlight, music, meditation, exercise, and even cold showers.

3. Old Beliefs

Sometimes, leaving behind old beliefs and patterns means leaving behind our old identities, which can be difficult. But to achieve what you desire, adopting new beliefs and patterns is essential. The way we talk to ourselves influences our behaviour and even our body’s response. Working with a coach can help you shift your old mindset to embrace new beliefs and upgrade your identity.

4. The Wrong Energy from the Wrong Foods

It’s no secret that what we eat affects our energy levels. But did you know that what you eat the day BEFORE can impact your energy? This is because certain heavy foods – like meat, pastas or processed foods – eaten the previous day can actually take energy away from restoration and force your body to use it for digestion instead. Opting for a healthy meal is great for boosting energy, but it’s equally important to choose the right foods the day before. Focus on fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, while avoiding processed convenience foods that will drain your energy.

5. The Busy Trap

Being constantly busy can prevent us from addressing our real problems. Prioritising others and distracting ourselves keeps us from facing our own issues. Taking time for stillness and self-reflection, such as through meditation, is a precious gift we can give ourselves. It’s crucial to honour our limitations and avoid burnout by allowing ourselves time to breathe and recharge.

6. Celebrating the Small Victories

Life is a journey, not just a destination. Celebrating small wins along the way is essential to staying motivated and feeling rewarded. Celebrations are acts of self-love that signal to our bodies that our efforts are worthy and that more rewards and results are within reach. So, acknowledge your progress, celebrate your achievements, and train your body to seek even greater rewards.

Feeling inspired by this post? Then take positive action for your future! You deserve the health, love, and energy you seek. It’s time to step up and become the best version of yourself. Voting your victory!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a Go-Go-Go type of person that can’t sit still for very long. I love it! It makes me feel so alive being energetic and ready to pounce on fun activities or tasks.

However, over time this led me to feel burnt out. I’d be full of beans but then crash at 3pm. I’d pick up again at about 6pm, then stay awake until midnight… I needed to find something to help as I started to learn my adrenals were getting hammered! I was burning out. I used caffeine as some form of band-aid to help energy levels. But we know that doing that makes the problem worse.

So I turned to meditation. But you can imagine, for an undiagnosed ADD guy like me, sitting still and looking inwards was challenging. I knew meditation would help improve my scattered attention, nervous system, focus and concentration. But along the way, I also discovered many other benefits like keeping my digestion running smoothly, maintaining a consistent level of energy during the day and improving my relationships by being an active listener. Safe to say I’m investing more time in this expansive practice.

In the beginning, I had no idea what I was supposed to do, let alone if I was doing it correctly (there are apps that teach you “how”, so no worries there). But I set myself a challenge to meditate every day for a week. After a week I noticed I was less reactive and more proactive. I was able to think more clearly and respond more effectively. I also noticed that my sleep was deeper, more restorative and I was changing my habit! I wanted to go to bed earlier (this was HUGE for me).

But the biggest lesson that I’ve taken away – Meditation puts you into the para-sympathetic system. The ‘rest and digest’ state. This is the place you need to be to heal things. To recover from things. To process things. The best part of being in the para-sympathetic nervous system is the feeling of knowing you are still energetic without the ‘Go-Go-Go’ energy from an adrenaline place. To finally have some real earth grounding energy that doesn’t rely on my mind to motivate me or need caffeine to trigger the start of the day. I like to call this the “calm as a Hindu Cow state”.

When should you Meditate?

I like first thing in the morning as you wake up, or when I get home from work in the mid afternoon. The reason to meditate then and not before bed is so you can receive the benefits while still being awake for the day or evening until sleep! Try it!

Keen to give it a ‘Go’? Here are my top tips for getting started:

• Make a “Meditation Happening” sign for your bedroom door or meditation space. This will minimise interruptions!

• Turn that phone OFF!!!! Or at least on silent or vibrate so there are no interruptions. Trust me. You don’t want a random notification interrupting as you go deeper into the time you’ve committed to.

• Sit upright on a chair or bed. Don’t lie down. Sitting on a pillow can help relax into the 20 minutes you are dedicating to yourself, and against something to support your back. My comfortable space is just a couch.

• Use a guided meditation in the beginning. There are so many fantastic apps, I’ve listed some of my favourites below. Once you’ve got the hang of it, you can give it a try on your own – no music, just you and your thoughts.

• Set a timer. When you’re new to meditation, you will be surprised how quick the time goes! And learn to resist the temptation to check how long you’ve got left. After plenty of practice, remove the timer and see where your thoughts take you.

• Remember, it’s a practice, not a perfect! Be kind to yourself, it’s ok not to be great at it. Like everything, you will improve with practice.

Check out this list of some of my favourite meditation and mindfulness apps. If you’re new to meditation, it’s a great place to start.

One Giant Mind
This is the one I’ve most resonated with as it’s consistent with using the same music and teachers. This allows or let’s you know if any big differences in your meditation happens, that it’s not the music or teachers. It’s me. This is a simple easy-to-follow program and you can expand when you are ready. This app really allows you to start slow to become comfortable and then dives deeper into meditation when you are ready.

Headspace

This app teaches the basics of mindfulness and meditation through cute animations. The free version gives you 10 days worth of guided meditations, each of which can be tailored to suit how much time you can spare. You also get some mini meditations and breathing exercises. A monthly subscription will unlock hours of extra content with topics covering everything from productivity to pain management.

Calm

Calm features a range of voice-led meditation exercises and soothing sounds from ocean waves to crackling firewood. A seven-day beginner’s program will get you started, covering basic mindful breathing exercises in short sessions. A subscription features a library of calming music and lulling sleep stories, plus masterclasses for more advanced practitioners.

Aura

Aura features short meditations – no longer than 15 minutes each. The sessions change daily and are delivered by mindfulness teachers and therapists, with the ability to save your favourite ones. The paid version will unlock more than 1000 meditations and additional features such as the “daily reflection” field where you can log your feelings and the things you’re grateful.

Insight Timer

This app fuses meditation and social networking. In addition to an extensive library of guided meditation, a world map shows you how many people are meditating and where they are. You can also add friends and discuss mindfulness topics in the groups feature. The meditation range from beginner to advanced levels, as well as short courses focused on topics such as breathing and anxiety management. The best part? It’s all free.

Smiling Mind

Another free app, Smiling Mind makes mindfulness accessible to everyone. With a simple design, its very user-friendly. It offers introductory sessions for beginners through to tailored programs for various ages (kids included).

Here’s to a new path of health that adds enormous value to yourself and how you go about your life!

I am often approached by people who have digestive issues and wonder if it’s safe to do a colon cleanse

What About if I Have Blockages or Colon Damage?

Firstly, what I would say is if you have a digestive issue that includes any blockages then it is REALLY important to take it slow. Especially if there has been any damage to the colon. In fact, I always recommend people with major digestive issues to do the 30 day colon cleanse process rather than the 4 day process. Taking 1 or 2 tablespoons of the colon cleanse mix every day for 30 days is still going to bulk things up enough to get some really good cleansing going on for you.

I would also highly recommend eating oatmeal every day. Get yourself some good quality organic oats – I like the steel cut oats but any kind that aren’t “instant oats” are great because they are less processed. Eating a bowl of oatmeal every day will add more good fibre into your system.  And buy yourself some mission figs – oh my god they taste so good! Figs or dates or prunes especially are great – they have very specific fibres and sugars that help the body’s natural digestive action to clean things out. If you want to boost up your protein intake you could add some hemp seeds to your oatmeal as well and if you want it a bit sweeter, add some honey.

Hydrating with Fruit

ANY fruit will be super hydrating to the digestive system. I typically recommend starting the day with fresh fruit first, even before you eat your oatmeal. Maybe even before you have your serve of colon cleanse, because the fruit will hydrate everything and get things “sliding” along and moving!

Apples are going to be the best choice for digestive function. But ALL fruit will hydrate the digestive system, give you some good enzymes, clean some things out, ferment some things that aren’t meant to be there and just get everything to move along.

If you can implement some form of intermittent fasting too that would be fantastic because it gives everything a break. So even if that just looks like waiting until 10am to have some fruit. Then have a serving of colon cleanse at 10.30-11am.

To really amp things up you could do a serve of colon cleanse in the afternoon as well! If you don’t like the taste of the colon cleanse by itself then you could definitely put it into your oatmeal, it will just bulk it up. You probably won’t even notice the taste at all!

Why You Should Make Friends With Salad

During this cleansing process, if you can eat super plant based for the whole 30 days then that would definitely be really helpful. And if you could eat 100% RAW plant based then that would be even better! If you have ever seen some of the videos of the salads I have made – amazing! And just making these salads makes me feel so good; every time I am boosting up greens I feel strong. I can feel the extra energy and power!

If you feel like you need a snack in the afternoon – try things like carrot sticks and celery. Celery is a great broom for the digestive system. When you eat celery you’ve probably noticed you end up with this ball of fibre you are trying to swallow! If you can eat 2-3 sticks of celery then that’s like colon cleansing all by itself.

Fasting for Optimal Healing

If you are dealing with a major digestive issue like a twisted colon, once you finish up your 30 days of colon cleansing, then honestly healing is going to need to include some form of extended water fasting. I know lots of people have healed their digestive conditions, and typically it takes 20-30 days to have a complete healing. That length of water fasting can be pretty full on and I wouldn’t recommend anyone do that without someone with experience monitoring you, such as a Tolman Health Coach.

Without professional assistance I would recommend trying 10-15 days on a water fast and see how you go. If you can make time for that. Water fasting requires 100% commitment so you can’t be going to work, you need to put all your focus on your healing. Once you have done some water fasting, do equal that time with juices and you are probably going to be in a really good place. You can add in things like clear vegetable broths and herbal teas while you are juice fasting too!

Coffee Enemas for the Win!

Throughout this process, whether you are fasting or not, I recommend you do daily enemas – I like to do them in the morning. Coffee enemas are super healing. Doing them in the morning will wake you up and get you going! The coffee detoxifies your liver so you will feel really good. And the whites of your eyes clear up pretty quickly from doing coffee enemas.

Just make sure you are using good, pristine, organic, fresh roasted coffee. Grind it yourself, brew it yourself and then use it in the enema straight away. The coffee is also going to stimulate the lining of the colon for healing and action and movement.

So my suggested protocol for colon cleansing with digestive issues would look like 30 days of 1-2 servings of colon cleanse, eating lots of (preferably raw) healthy food to just clean everything out and then going into a fast of 10-15 days on water and after that an equal amount of time on juice.

Once you have finished the fasting, break your fast with things like coconut yoghurt, berries and honey. Keeping it fresh with fruits! Keep that up for about a week then you can start incorporating some steamed vegetables and things like that.

Then moving back into a healthier lifestyle is obviously ideal.

Hello and welcome to this week’s Tyler Talks! This week we will be delving into natural ways to heal urinary tract infections.

Clean and Natural Ways to Heal Chronic Infections

If you’re plagued by chronic urinary tract—or other—infections, don’t give in to antibiotics. Take the time to cleanse and heal with natural food and methods.

Stop That!

The word antibiotic means, literally, antilife. If you take antibiotics, you kill all life within your digestive system. And that’s no good because you’re getting rid of the good bacteria along with the bad. The only way to good digestive health—and health in general—is eating a balanced diet and intentionally creating good gut flora. Then you will digest properly, build the immune system and foster many other beautiful benefits for your body.

So stop it! No more antibiotics. And even if you’re taking probiotics, realize that they contain just one or two strains of a biotic life-form scientists have broken down and isolated into a pretty, little pill. Time to get past the pill popping, people!

Try This

First of all, you need to get back to Mother Nature, back to eating fresh fruit. Fresh fruit ferments in the digestive system and creates billions of natural probiotics. You don’t need to take a pill; you need to eat and enjoy the right foods. Besides fruit, eat prebiotics like onions and garlic. Add in already-fermented foods like sauerkraut or kimchi. Try cultured drinks like kombucha or kefir. In the digestive system, these all establish good bacteria and ward off bad bacteria that cause urinary tract infections and many other problems. In contrast, dead, processed foods back up in our bowels and create a toxic environment where bad bacteria thrive.

To promote healing, you also need to get out in the sun and hydrate yourself with plenty of water to keep everything in the digestive system flowing properly. It may also be that your body’s pH chemistry is acidic, and bad bacteria just love it inside of you. You can alkalize your body by drinking a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in a glass of water twice a day. You can even take some natural yogurt and apply its good bacteria externally to infected areas.

If all that doesn’t work, you may need a high-alkaline juice fast for seven days—or up to 10 or 14 days—to completely detoxify your system and reset the body’s chemistry balance. That should keep urinary tract infections away for a good, long time.

Keep It Clean

Another factor in urinary tract infections is your and your partner’s cleanliness in sexual intimacy. The bad bacteria your body eliminates through fecal matter can promote problems in the urinary tract and sexual organs. So be careful in your sexual activities. Make sure to shower well and cleanse sensitive areas. Clipping and shaving hair there will also help, so that when you’re together, it’s clean, healthy and beautiful.

So, go clean and natural—inside and out—to heal and avoid chronic urinary tract infections and advance your digestive health and overall immunity.
